Icon2 Suspension for Comfort/Performance?

I have no idea what to get, I live in a city with "****" road, lots of pot holes, or sink holes, most of the on/off ramps have random dips that really push my stock suspension now.

I'm not sure how much I wanna pay. Yet. Definitely less the 1000$.

I looked at skunk 2 Pro s2 pretty cheep but they are said to be too stiff. 699$$ http://www.swapshopracing.com/contents/en-us/p5492.html

I have a guy with 1 year old function and forms type 1 for around 400$$ http://www.swapshopracing.com/contents/en-us/p5492.html
(I like a good deal if I can get one)

I am running stock 1994 honda civic hatchback suspension, which the roads are manageably rough. I can't be any lower or I will bottom out getting into work, as the asphalt is falling apart on the way in there. Some of the worst paved roads I have ever seen.

What other options will perform well for small and large bumps but still be good for cornering.

The plan for the car is to go either B16A1 high performance NA or D15B7 TC with lots of modification.

So you don't want to lower?

What you could do, (1'' drop) is the eibach pro kit. Shocks/springs.

Comfort |----------------------------------------------------| Performance

You can't have both. You can only slide your selection across this scale.

my suggestion would be to get JUST a set of koni yellows, and use your stock springs. you can lower the car by an inch by lowering your perch with the cir-clip. if you want a little bit more corning stability, get a sway bar set.

I have a full set of koni sports with coilover sleeves and 180# spring. This would be perfect for you. If your interested let me know. All of it is new. I'll sell it all for $450 plus shipping.

That's funny, considering the stock spring rates are ~180 front and 90 rear.

Don't expect too much from KYBs. I had some on my accord with some prokits and they were leaps and bounds better then the stock suspension. But after a couple months the shocks got softer on me and it was not as sporty. Yet still way better then the stock blown stock setup.

Yeah I am really wondering if anyone knows anything about the function and form shocks. I imagine they are pretty stiff considering the price. I wanna get teins, but I'll probably upgrade in a year or two when 1 I live in a nicer city & 2 I have more money.

On the other hand what is the advantage of the koni yellows & stock springs ?

Tein's really aren't that good. You can do better for the same amount/if not less money.

Running Koni Sports with stock springs, comfort and the ability to slightly lower the car, also cost.

All your out is the cost of the shocks.

Okay, I think you could be right. I am not really looking to go lower, Just want an upgrade / dont wanna feel like ***** going to break when I'm pushing it through corners.

I was looking inot your koni Sports, they are adjustable which Is kinda amazing, I could then find what fits best/ change it for my application. Thanks for the tip. Any Idea where to get some ?

Lastly I was wondering if those were the pupies you were running and if so let me know how they are working out.

(Side note, just got the head of the d15 today. and still questioning why I am considering rebuilding it.)

yea, it would deffinetly give you an idea if you like the ride height, or want to go a little lower.

To buy them, check the market place on here. The seller is THMotorsports. IMO they run $500ish shipped. It sounds like a lot, but it's not that much when you think about. These little suckers will outlast the car. They also carry a lifetime warranty. (if you buy new)

Unfortunetly, no I don't have Koni Sports.

I do know a feel people that do though. I have spent quite a bit of time in 95 coupe with them. both driving and riding. Koni/gc is a amazing setup.

Personaly, I am leaning towards AMR coilovers. Still can't make my mind up.

Yeah well I doubt they will outlast this puppy, probably get replaced first. I plan on keeping the car indeffinately. (not as a daily driver) Just gotta make sure it doesnt get total'd.

That aside, I like all the reviews I have heard on them, I will deffinatly be looking into this. Thx 98.
