Icon2 1992 Honda Accord stereo & antenna not working

Hello All!

I just got my Dad's old 1992 Honda Accord and I LOVE THIS CAR!

Unfortunately, the stereo and power antenna are not working. It's as if they are not connected at all. I checked the fuse under the dash and the one marked "spare" under the hood and both show to be good. The car did sit for a bit and the battery was dead, although it holds a charge just fine.

I am going to go ahead and change out the fuses with fresh, just in case and since the car sat down by the Gulf Coast (inside the garage, THANK GOD!), although I did not see any corrosion.

Any suggestions on what else to check before I take it to an audio place?

Double check the fuses-"spare" doesn't sound right. Using and old manual here and for a 91-10amp #11 yel/red wire and then there is #24 7.5 amp wht/yel...memeory(bad) says the 7.5 is for back up power (saves presets when car is off) and the 10amp would be for running.....so again check the fuses. Then if you have to, pull the radio and check for 12v on both of those wires.

Sorry, after checking and changing the fuses with fresh ones, I noticed the one under the hood is marked "backup" not 'spare'. However, I did check the wiring and all seems well there, too. I guess my next step is to just get another radio. After all it is a 20 year old car & if the radio is the only thing not working, I can count myself fortunate, right?

Any other suggestions are welcome, tho! XD

Have you pulled the radio and checked to be sure voltage is getting to it?
