Soft brake pedal after brake upgrade...master cylinder?
Just did the 11" FastBrakes front upgrade kit to my 92 Si. Everything bolted up fine and a friend and I bled the brakes until all the air/old fluid was gone and it was spitting only fresh, clean fluid.
However, when the car is idling, I can put the brake pedal to the floor with less than moderate pressure. Driving, the pedal regains a little firmness but it still travels further than it did with the stock setup. I can lock up the fronts, but the pedal goes to the floor in doing so. I know something's not right, and it's not air in the brake lines.
Is the 13/16" master cylinder on my car too small for the 3G GS-R calipers (Nissin 17CL14VN) that came with the kit? What size m/c should I go with (and what car is it from?) Lastly, will the "new" m/c bolt up to the car and the hard brake lines without major mods?
Thanks as always!
