Idle/ bogging issue jdm b16
Hello,
I recently posted a thread about my dash lights not working, and you guys helped to a great extent. Now I'm faced with another problem, my girlfriends 96 civic has been acting up for quite sometime. We took it to a shop and they could not resolve the issue so i must take it upon myself to fix. Anyway on to the problem, if you let the car warm up and take it for a drive when you come to a stop sign the idle will drop and fluctuate from 800 to 1500 rpms and then will run terrible till you shut it off. It is throwing a code for the iacv but the shop said he tried a different one that was used with no success. My question is should we bite the bullet and try a new one from Honda or is it a posibility it is something else. The motor is a jdm b16 obd1 with a gsr ecu. And if I would order from Honda what is the part number, it is a long flange.
Thanks

sounds like you might have a vacuum leak check the intake manifold for open ports and all the lines to see if they are broken or cracked. also check your gaskets
