Anyone have a video with 2-stage gsr vtec sounds?
Just wondering if anyone has a video where you hear the vtec kick in at 4400 and then the second stage runners kick in at 5800.
I owned a stock gsr and didnt hear any audible difference anywhere. I was wondering if anyone has a video where you hear it at 4400 AND at 5800.... With the stock GSR manifold of course!
Thanks!

Thats when vtec hits. But its using the longer runners on the manifold so its hard to hear, but when the shorter runners hit at 5800, thats when people normally hear it.
I only heard 1 distinct crossover. I think that guy is using a skunk2 manifold. I only heard the 1 crossover, thanks for the vid tho. I am hoping to find something where you can hear vtec at 4400, and then hear the second stage at 5800, Nice try tho.... damn gsrs!
The butterflies are the actual mechanical component that will be engaged/disengaged depending on your RPM. Its supposed to be referred to as the 'secondary or primary runners', not the 'secondary or primary butterflies', because there is only 1 set of butterflies, but 2 sets of runners.
Secondary butterflies and secondary runners? Who gives a ****, we all know what Im talking about. No need to be a technical guru and give people grief for using different lingo.... Everyone knows.
Thanks for the help

Thats sort of the idea I got. Even on the dyno graphs the hop is barely noticeable. I'm thinking if anyone has a dyno vid with heavy n/a cams with the stock gsr manifold, maybe s2stg2's or jun cams..... But most people ditch the Gsr mani for top end

I can barely hear my VTEC engagement and I have my butterfly disconnected. I should have it connected.

can't hear vtec on the gsr, it's very noticeable on the ITR though

I usually only hear can hear the secondaries in a long 3rd gear pull. I have a video of it, but it's with a cracked header and the exhaust is too loud lol.

i can't remember what tranny i used in that video, it might have been the gsr tranny but i can't swear to it as i bought a new itr trans around that time. the car was pretty consistent at 14.7-14.8@96mph, actually had one run just break 97mph.
going turbo now and tuning the car around 110mph in the 1/4 which is quite safe on the stock engine. doing a turbo correctly is expensive though. i'll have just over $4000 in the setup. add in $4000 for the swap and $600 for the clutch and you have 8600 not counting any labor, gaskets or random parts.
kind of feel insane sometimes when you can get a 50k mile 2001 corvette coupe for 12k
actually on second watch that had to have been the gsr transmission. it fell out of vtec on the 1-2 with the motor spun to redline. that won't happen with the itr box. with the gsr box and 5800 vtec you had to bang it right on the dot and spin a tad going into 2nd to keep it from falling out.

Buying a Vette won't be fun. I mean, can't go wrong with a base, Z06, ZR1. Something about modding a Honda. I guess we just want car/power options. You know, all whole lot of cars in garage for different nights/occasions.
Where's the ITR? How much you did get it for? From Jdmenginecorp?
