Default 98 EX with eibach springs

So i recently got a 99 EX and the previous owner lowered the car using some eibach springs. i searched up the part number and turns out that the springs he used were specifically for 94-01 integras.. (eibach sportline part# 4.2040) i pulled off the strut and compared the stock springs that came with the car and the stock one seems taller than the lowering springs. Also when i pulled off the front struts i noticed that the springs on the fronts were able to move freely even with the top hats bolted down. with the struts installed on the car, when hitting a bump or dip it seems that the spring bounces or rattles assuming because it isnt compressed?.. i read online that civic and integra lowering springs are compatible but just curious if any of you guys have had this problem? should i just get rid of these springs and just get springs that are actually made for my car?

Thanks

The part number for the springs are the same for Civic/Integra so you don't have to change the springs. It sounds like they were on stock struts, and they are probably worn out. Cheapest and best way to fix is to get a set of tokico blues, if you want adjustability get the Illuminas.

I'd recommend the Eibach pro kits over the sport lines because the sport lines are softer, yet it drops the car lower for a better stance. you might notice this more when you upgrade the shocks to anything stiffer than stock.

Sportlines are stiffer. By quite a bit. They do over lower the car, though, IMO. Civics/integras don't ride well when they're that effing low.

Sportlines are fine. Just make sure you have some adjustable shocks to go with it.
