I recently bought a 94 Integra RS that started perfectly fine but had a torn up ignition with cut wires and all. So i bought a 99 Integra steering column complete with ignition. Put it on the car and now it doesnt start. When i turn the key all i get is the fast beeping from the car when it usually is suppose to do three slower beeps while the fuel pump comes on and check engine turns off. Also the cluster doesnt light up anymore so i cant check the codes. I checked every fuse possible. Has a brand new battery. I even put the old column that previously started the car back in and still nothing. Dunno if a bad ecu or main relay would cause this problem. Contemplating on putting another underdash fuse box in to see if that solves it lol. Throw me any ideas never had this problem before but have a feeling its something small that im just missing

Sounds like you unplugged something when swapping the columns, I would check all the connections under the dash on that side.

Did you check main fuses in engine bay fuse box?

Are you testing the fuses or just eyeballing them? 94

 

Just been eyeballing them. Ima get a connection tester to make sure. I checked everything under the dash more than once. Idk if a main relay or back ecu would make it do that. Thanks for ur info tho

 

The PGM-FI Main Relay has nothing to do with the cluster.

Not sure what you mean by "back ecu", a 94 Integra has one ECU/ECM and it is on the pass. side kick panel, it also would not prevent the cluster from lighting up, other then the CEL.

Question, does the cluster illumination work, does it "light up" when you turn the lights on, does anything on the cluster work, gauges, any warning lights? 94
