Default Anyone else have problems with their Distributor?

Just wondering if this is common in Integras- I am currently looking for a new one.

The factory distributor is very good. What kind of ignition issues are you having? 95% of all ignition problems can be fixed by replacing the coil, cap/rotor, plug wires, or plugs.

How many miles on your integra? They wear down just like any other piece of an engine.

You might want to start asking more specific tech based questions directly related to issues You are having and possible fixes other may be able to provide. A general poll type question is not going to help you..

My Acura has 104,000 miles (approx) on it. There is a noise coming from the distributor. It seems everything is running fine it's the noise that gets to me. I thought I heard through the grapevine that the distributors were kinda crap.

And guys- I apologize- I'm female, I'm new on here and I'm going to school next year to get certified so for now you may have to dumb things down a bit for my sake. I'm retarded. LOL

As long as it seems to be working fine I wouldn't worry about it.

Distributors crap? I don't think so. Point of failure? Yeah. You are aware that you are talking about vehicles and parts that are pushing 1-2 decades old in some cases.
You being female has noting to do with anything. You'll get no sympathy here. Furnish all the pertinent info and you should get useful answers every time.

It's fairly simple, take off the cap to see if there is anything loose inside.

In the last 18 years I have had 3 igniters take a crap on me. I'm hoping another COP system for Honda OEM based ECUs (Hondata, Neptune... the others) will be on the market by the time I get all of my parts from Boostflow.

Sweet. That's good news, but I wonder what is making the ****ed up noise. My friend who is a mechanic for Honda took a look at it when we were doing the timing belt and it was hard to figure out but we thought it could be the distributor. I'm overdue for a tune up.....I should just knock that off first then go from there.
