Who says the Type R cant rally?
took the ITR to our monthly rallyX today. Talk about a blast!
1998 CW. 100% stock. 192,XXX miles. still kickin'!
Traction was very limited because of my tires.
I also have a 99 2.5RS that ive rallyXed for the past 3 years. Im trying to sell it, so i didnt want to take it. So i took the R. incredibly fast. the damn thing will rotate with ease, without even using the ebrake.
I didnt "compete" but i did do all 6 laps so i could sling it around the dirt/gravel/grass. you'll notice a lot of cones were missed.
put some rally susp. and tires on it and it will be a very very strong competitor.

FWD Hondas make great RallyCross cars; they can be quite competitive. I'm sure the ITR is no exception. ITRs also make great hill-climb cars. Several ITRs have successfully run in the Pikes Peak Hill Climb over the years.

the only problem is that they are expensive!! haha.
every FWD car in our RX club is a sentra. dime a dozen. sentra SERs are pretty quick as well.
but i dont think i can move from AWD subaru to FWD... unless of course it was the ITR. and i dont think i can make the ITR permanent rally right now. would be nice though!

every FWD car in our RX club is a sentra. dime a dozen. sentra SERs are pretty quick as well.

you will ditch the subaru when the awd conversion becomes pattened suposally one day soon and someone runs a awd ITR haha, im deff gonna get one. theres a awd civic si turbo feature car that claims they will make there awd conversion pattened and available for a bolt on afair. that will be a whole other platform and scene for the hondas.

its around raleigh.. there isnt enough land (cheap enough) in raleigh to host an event.
we do Wilson, Clayton, and NCCAR up in garysburg.
