Default HID or Halo's?

Which should I go? There's a set of nice halo's, but I heard their range sucks, and that HID's are a lot better.

by halos you mean the ebay projectors. and by hids you mean hids into your stock headlights?

hids in stock headlights work good but they really bright and produce a lot of glare. the halo projectors dont have the best output but with a set of hids they are decent. and they look cool. some are a pita to aim though.

the best solution is a retrofit. morimoto minis will retrofit into the stock prelude lights easily without modification to the housing other then the light deflector needing to be dremeled out

Do the Halo's give off more light then the stock head lights, I want halo's because they do have a few with nice features, but I don't want to be driving blind though I already am.

Leave the halo's to the BMWs.

either retrofit, or just get projector headlights w/o halos

Haters.

HIDs in the ebay lights are a bit better than HIDs in stock housing.

Retrofits are really the way to go though.

Here's the "cutoff" if you can call it that of the ebay lights with a 35w 5000k hid kit. Pic was taken before lights were aimed.

Still tons of glare, but it's not as bad as the stock housing that just lights the trees above the road.

I love driving down the road getting blinded by people with cheap aftermarket light set ups.

Those lights don't do half bad with halogens. They actually are a pretty solid improvement over stock. I'm convinced Honda never intended the bb6 to be driven at night.

Either way, the bad news about those lights is that they're ebay lights, and leak from time to time. And by from time to time I mean every time I wash my car they fog up.

indeed i have had this problem with any ebay light housing(tail, corners, bumpers, heads). that silicone sealant stuff really does the trick. cant remember what its actually called. i got a tube around here somewhere...

i have ebay projectors on my lude. improvement over stock is a definite yes. that being said just finished a morimoto mini h1 retro on my cb7. not as nice as the s2k and tsx but they fit so easily into the tiny housing and the light output is way better then any ebay projector i have seen/owned.

retrofit>everything

I'll go for the projectors then, eventually HID's. They cheap and sound and look good.

Yeah retrofit > everything else but honestly I would just HID the halogens for the time being and save up for a legit retrofit; just my 2 cents

Halos are ugly, like states b4 leave those for BMW's. Go with the JDM 1 piece headlights and throw HIDs in those if anything.

I have had both. I put the ebay halos in my old lude and they sucked, range was poor and when i had them hooked up the high/low beam switch wouldn't work . now i have 8000k in my stock headlights and ill say for the $35 shipped to my door i am very happy. They provide much better sight at night and i live in a city and no one has ever told me my lights were too bright nor have i been flashed by a oncoming car.
morel of my story H.I.D.'s IMO.

the reason why the high and lows dont usually work with the ebay projectors is because for some reason inside the housing the decided to splice the ground from the lo and hi beam together and then seperate them again. you have to open up both housings and make it so that the grounds dont connect to each other in order to fix this. i fixed this by putting hids into the lo beam projector and then just cutting and removing the ground that went fron the high to low.

i also had hids in my stock headlights and light output was great but there is a shitload of glare to oncoming traffic even if you have not been flashed yet. blacking out the headlights fixes some of the problem but a projector is the best way to go if switching to hids. retrofitting a good projector is better then using a shitty egay one also

Retrofit if possible. If not, 6k HIDs in the stock headlights if you have to...

I'll probably go HID's unless I can find some projectors that are good.

Damn i wish i knew that before i crashed the car and destroyed them. i used to keep the highs uncliped while driving but if i needed them i would just pop the hood and plug them in, Girl used to make fun of me all the time, but what did she know she drove a sheclipse.
