Electronic coolant valve?
Well I'm fed up with cables. Anyone know of any electronic coolant solenoids that could be used instead of the cable actuated coolant cutoff?
Found one on jegs but its like $100. Wondering if anyone knows of any cars that have these oem. Surely there everyone uses electronic ones nowadays.

Putting my crx back together today, and realized the one of the cables for the heater control is seized up. And ended up braking the **** on the control.
I was thinking about instead of replacing the cables, wiring up an electronic solenoid to close/open the heater coolant cutoff.

Just in case anyone else is interested, I found this. http://www.ebay.com/itm/300574312455...#ht_2671wt_808
Will fit perfectly in the stock valve location, All you gotta do is run 12v and ground from a switch and boom, heat on demand.
(of course this is if you have no a/c to switch back and forth from)

Yea I know. But if you don't have a/c you don't really need to "blend" anything, so I can just stick it on heat and leave it.
The purpose of the solenoid is to cutoff the heat so that when your not using the heater you don't get that "draft" of hot air coming through the vents.
