honda motor guru Q's
ok here is the deal. I have a 94 civic D15 coupe with bolt ons. I was wondering if I could do this and how would it work....
Do like a 88 91 1.6 Si head
keep my block
do a 92 95 Si trans
and do a t3 t4 turbo set up
How would this work for that set up.
I dont really wanna have that much down time with my car and I wanna Keep it SOHC and I dont really care for vtec
This is the turvo set up...
cosist of a dc sport turbo manifold, turbonetics t3/t4 turbo, turbonetics westgate w 6lbs spring, custom 2 1/2 down pipe, turbonetics manual boost controler, hks blow off valve (big one), mistubishi starion intercooler, custom piping, all clams and oil lines, greddy check valve
hit me up soon

1.d15 have weak weak bottom ends.
2.such a big turbo for such small boost
3.big bov? probably won't be able to bleed such a small boost level. and if you like that sound... then you're S.O.L.
4.Si head? why? valves are probably the same size, and are probably the same flow-wise. i don't really know the specs on the cam though. i don't think it has too much overlap so the extra duration and lift might help.... a little.
5.what about fuel??? extra air and no fuel makes engine go boom!
6.manual boost controller.... why? are you gonna boost more than 6 psi??? WHY!??!
7.even if you do decide to build the bottom end, the journals on the crank are laughable. if detonation doesn't get you, the increased cylinder pressure from running f/i will rip that rod straight through the oil pan.
DO SOME RESEARCH!!! you don't want to spend money on something that won't work, and will blow up. remember, it's not the sum of the parts, it's how well they work together. can't stress that enough.
hope this helps.
