So I put my ef9 cluster in my ed3 last night and wired it up which was pretty easy everything works great I just noticed today that the odometer does not work but the speedo does anyone have any info on how to get the odometer to work

 

Make sure the fat odo cable is plugged in and seated all the way. Unless the ef9 cluster is electronic... is it?

 

Do you have picture of the cluster?

It is electronic. You are going to have to get an electronic vss for your transmission

NOW dont you think if my speedo works i know that its electronic already and i have the electronic vss in there already ?

here is a pic everything works on my cluster and i used usdm civic plugs and modified them and they fit perfect in the jdm ef9 cluster

 

The VSS controls the speedometer and Odometer. The gears are probably stuck. Some people say if you push the reset button a few times pretty hard it loosens up the gears. If not you are going to have to open it up to get it to work.

 

for sure thankyou i didnt know if the jdm clusters had their own wire for the odometer or something ill open it up today and see whats up
