Need a Distributor for my 1999 Accord LX 4 cyl. Question: are the aftermarket brands worth the risk? Difference between a Hitachi new vs remanufactured? Trying to save $$, but don't want to purchase a headache.

go with stock replacement unless ur going msd. hitachi is so well known cuz thats what honda uses. going with a knockoff here is not the place to skimp on ur timing and spark

usually when buying a knock-off you will need to replace the internal parts almost right away as i have had to do in the past. i suggest you get an oem unit!

 

reman hitachi uhhh no maybe a reman from parts store so if its bad get ur $ back but... all up to u. reman still run risk of off timing/spark

 

Sounds like I should go brand new. Thant's what I needed to know.
