For Autozone parts there are a lot of remanufactured items. For Duralast this usually means the shell is kept and it gets all new internals. For Valucraft it means they just replace the broken parts.
I've heard some people say bad things abotu Autozone and other aftermarket store-bought ignition parts, so I'd stick with OEM if I could.

unless you have a hookup on OEM parts, the dizzy will cost you fortune.
the retail of an OEM ITR dizzy is approx 1000bux CAD.
i bought a jobber one instead and i work at acura. the only downside is that the seal that's closest to the cam sometimes leaks a bit of oil...other than that, i've had no problems with my jobber dizzy.

Re: (HONDACIVC93)
Ill be honest I have a local place where they do rebuilt Dizzy but I have a lifetime warranty so if it goes bad i just bring it back ive been using the same dizzy for about 3 years now but you dont have to explain **** you think its going bad take it back get another.
They have no way to test it but OEM ones are great but most rebuilt dizzys just have the igniter replaced thats what goes bad on 90% of honda dizzys anyway.

I work at Autozone as my second job, The distributors arent Duralast...Its another brand, they are lifetime warrany (most) and they keep all warranty info by your phone number. I dont know about your local store, But we will swap out a part if there is any problems! I had an autozone dist. in my car from the previous owner for a long time before I swapped . Good point about the ignitors, Autozone should have the igniter in stock for under $15 (I think, its been a while) Where as some distributors take a day to get it

Re: (ShortyzKustomz)
well i already went through 2 ignitors/ICM in 3 months. i have a new coil in it cap rotor plugs wires. and its still misfireing under a load say in 5th on high way go to spped up and it will misfire. i had a lot or people telling me its the cam sensor in the dizzy so i was just gonna buy an autozone one....but this distributor king seems interesting where do i find this?
also another thing i noticed when i take my cap off i see that some of the wires in there have gotten brittle over the years and some of the insulation just cracks and breaks off. so i think i just need the case with the sensor mounted in it cause i now have an OEM ignitor Coil cap rotor plugs and wires and it still funks up

Autozone distributors have warranty, but you'll need it. I went through five in two days before I got fed up and limped the car till one from Distributor King showed up.
Luckily they let me return the Autozone for the money back. I've had zero problems with the distributor king distributor. It's been working for a few months now.
a friend of mine went through 3 autozone distributors before getting fed up and bought a junkyard special.

Re: (Relic1)
Dam sounds messed up but thats why I got mine from a local place they use in house rebuild not Mass produce like autozone. Now that i think of it my local place does everything other that major engine work! Cut flywheels press bearings ball joints lol.
There not many places out there anymore like the place I go to

I would say Autozone with LT warranty if you dont got the money for an OEM one. I replaced my sister's dizzy for an autozone one, and its still going strong after 2 years...plus the warranty is great. People at autozone here are great. I have warranties on axles, starters, alternators, etc, but not all are LT, but most are, and when something goes wrong, take it back and get a brand new/rebuilt one, no questions asked.

go oem bro, i went through the trouble of buying a autozone dizzy for my gf's y8 and it made the car run like crap. Mader her mpg drop, one of the cylinders were misfiring, and the car did not accelerate the same. Few months later i threw in a used OEM dizzy and it solved the problem. At the time of the dizzy swap, i couldn't find any used oem dizzy and the car was driven daily so i was forced to buy the autozone dizzy. What a mistake!
I've talked to honda certified mechanics and they dont recommend going aftermarket on the distrubitors.
