Default new owner of 09 civic si

Hi, im a new owner of a used white 09 civic si. The car has 27,000 mi on it and only one owner. The carfax record is clean. It runs and looks like new. the dealer has it for $18,990 (internet price). I manage to haggle it for $18,490. i also traded my 1994 acura integra rs(auto) w/ 142,000 mi. it got appraise for $500. so in the end, my total price is $20,210 after the tax, trade-in,fees. do you guys think i got a good deal? what issues should i look for on this certain yr and model? any worthy mods i can do? thanks.

Good job on the trade. The '09 and up models do not have the probems that the '06 - '08s did, or at least not as many. The 3rd gear issue was dealt with, as was the rear control arms issue. I haven't heard of many new problems, and my '10 Si is running like a top. Just keep up with the maintenance, and keep the sticky side down, and enjoy the ride. Mods and such are found anywhere in these forums, just use the search system.

u should of sold your integra out right...

it is worth 1800-2500$

so they made 1500 right there...

and 20k is a little expensive for 09....should have paid 18 out the door

I heard about the 3rd gear issue plaguing the 08 and below models. I'm glad that issue is resolve on newer si. anyway im new to car modding and stuff. although my previous car is a teg, i never thought of modding it because its automatic. I'm happy that im back on owning a stick shift car. i just need to hone my driving skills lol.

I just don't want to go in a hassle of selling a car. My teg is also not on good condition. The 09 model that i bought is cleaner and lower in mileage compared to the others that i look into.

Ok I managed to take some pics on my Si. Im planning to keep it stock as much as possible. I'll probably just put an SRI and change it Type R shift **** and boot. any more suggestions?
