Ok.so i changed the head gasket on my civic.turned the key and turned right on.after 10 minutes of running the car just shuts off.car wont start.
Cranks fine.i smell gas at the exhaust.checked for spark,no spark.checked the ecu fuse but its ok.turn key to on position,relay clicks,fuel pump primes,BUT i dont get the Check Engine light.it has to appear for 2 seconds and turn back off but it doesnt.all i see is the battery light and the srs light come on.i need some help!
Engine is d15b7 non vtec.

 

Bulb possibly burned out, how did you check for spark?

 

have you checked the ecu?

 

Bulb?? I took out spark plug and wire and told my friend to crank it while i hold the spark plug barely touching a ground.no spark.
Tried changing main relay.didnt work.how can i check the ecu?

 

i have this car and have had very similar problem.
first i found that my igniter in my dizzy was out but i ended up buying a new one because my rotor was beyond repair SMH -_-
after all that she cranks right over...
then i had a compression problem with my oil rings.. they completely blew.
This car was the biggest mess when i got it.. previous owners sucked!
so now im rebuilding.
