Icon2 crx dx dpfi to mpfi b18a1 only runs on cylinders 2 and 3 ?

hey guys any input is very much appreciated. i have a crx dx that was originally dpfi and someone converted it to mpfi it was running a b16 obd0 . i bought the shell and swapped in a b18a1 and am running it on a pr3 obd0 ecu because i cant find a pr4 for a reasonable price. at first it wouldnt fire up would only crank. i switched the wires on the two pronged sensor that uses identical butt connectors and it started up . now it runs on cylinders 2-3 , but 1,4 arent firing. im getting spark all across as well as fuel pressure , compression is 150 all across and i have 0 vacuum leaks what could it be doing? also has a new (ebay) dizzy that came on the motor when i got it. any ideas would be great ive searched and tried everything but cant figure it out

Timing?? if its off it could make it seem as if it is not firing but its just firing in a wrong order also make sure your firing order is correct. Might also want to check or replace cap and button with oem honda parts.

Here is something you forgot to let us know:

Did you see the b16 running in the car before you bought it?

If it wasn't running then I would look into the wiring. Previous owner might have messed up and passed it on to you.

sounds like theres a wiring problem, check your injector wiring and check the ecu wiring too

You cant run your B18 with current setup..Pr3 is B16 Vtec ecu.. To run your B18 you have to get a Pr4. And correct (obd0 LS) Dizzy. If you dont already have it.

completely false.

yes you can run an LS motor with a B16 ecu and distributor. you will however get a check engine light for the following sensors that are not found on an LS:
1. Knock Sensor
2. Vtec oil pressure
3. Vtec Solenoid
4. 2nd o2 sensor (sometimes comes on sometimes doesnt)

my question is this, why did you mess with the wiring if the car was running perfectly fine?
but your car will run

Did you Even read the OP's full post? He bought car as a SHELL. never had a b16 in it. He swapped the LS motor with a(ls dizzy) into it. Wont run right on a vtec ecu.

Yes I did and he stated the preious owner had a fully functional b16 in it.

Maybe you should re read the posting, the car was converted from DPFI to MPFI and had a b16 in it before he bought it. A b16 ecu will run perfectly fine with an LS distributor. There are no internal differences between the td22u and a td23u the ONLY DIFFERNECE between them is the mounting tabs.
