Hey guys, jsut as the title says. I have a set of jdm ef9 power folding mirror, the jdm mirror control box, and the jdm relay box. what else do i need? how am i supposed to wire these up? thanx in advance. any comments are helpful.

im sure youll have to have a hot wire going from your fuse box thats only on when the switch is on going to a relay that will open the mirrors when you turn the key, and when you cut the switch off it will close the relay and allow the mirrors to fold in. that should be close and give somekind of an idea. btw where did you get them and how much? that would be a cool addon.

i got them from a friend of a friend. not sure on the price. im not really focusing on getting to fold when the car is on or off, ill figure that out later. but mainly first to be able to adjust them, and fold and unfold with the switch. any other ideas on how to wire these things up?

 

well damn, here's the link to a guys page that put JDM folding mirrors on his EG hatch. http://students.washington.edu/markpaco/jdm.htm the thing is his website is moving so most of his how-to's aren't there right now.

 

ok now instead of using a switch u will use the ACC wire under your dash. that wire is BLACK/YELLOW and its on the ignition switch harness. tap a wire off that and use that to goto pin 85 on the relay.

the lights on that pic will be your mirrors.

 

thanx, but i dont think its that simple, there are 8 wires coming off the switch, 5 off the relay, and then 4 or 5 coming off the mirror. i would like to be able to adjust the mirrors as well as have them fold. thanx. any other ideas?
