94 EG/JDM D15B is sluggish
I just picked up this 94 EG, its got a JDM D15B in it. It also has a P08 ecu. It seems REALLY sluggish from a stop. Here are some pics, let me know what you guys would do first to it. Im on a budget and got this for a daily driver and a long term project, so things like boost and swap are outta the picture for now. Sorry for the crappy iPhone pics.

Notice the high quality wiring.

real high dollar intake.

First thing is first, fix all that wiring! ASAP!! I hate crappy wiring jobs.
As for the sluggishness it could be your timing. My friend had a sluggish car but he dyno tuned it and it fixed it. I doubt its in your budget though.

Like Arthas said,, get your timing checked and fix your wires...Also do a major tune-up on it; Cap, rotor, plugs, wires, fuel filter, and oil...Get a quality intake, not some made up peice from Pepboys...And at least sand the trim, or paint it black...ok I`m done lol
Full tune up, and check the timing as stated above. On another note, you should do something about that exhaust sticking out so far thats a definite trip hazard lol.

Thanks for the trip hazard warning lol I swap plugs and wires today. Clean the fitv and the iatv? I know i still need to get a new fuel filter and check timing. This thing does not like to idle when cold. Once I get it to idle, when I floor it there is a noticeable bog (almost dies) before the rpms increase. Heres to hoping the fuel filter is dirty. I'm also gonna grab some sea foam. Thanks for your help so far.
Today I put in a new fuel filter and pulled the codes from the CEL. 6,7 and 22. I know the vtec error is there because it isn't hooked up. I check the water temp sensor and saw the connector was only using 1 of the 2 wires it needed. Looks like this great wiring is paying off. I'm going to spend the rest of the night looking for a whole new wiring harness/kit whatever and finding a TPS local. I know they are normally riveting on, but the one on mine has screws.
