JDM d16aZC OBD2 swap into 94 dx OBD1 body
Hey, so i swapped an OBD2 JDM 1.6L ZC engine into my 1994 Civic DX coupe. I was previously running a d16z6 which blew. I completed the mechanical part of the swap no problem, engine sits nicely in the chassis. I used my old OBD1 harness from the d16z6 and just spliced in some OBD2 plugs where needed. The BIG BIG BIG problem now is, I start the engine and the IDLE fluctuates pretty bad, and whenever I go to drive (put it in 1st and take off/put the engine under load) it goes then falls on its face and hesitates bad. Its like theres no power but I can feel it slowly trying to build up but then it starts misfiring every which way and sputtering. I have check the TPS sensor, got .5v on closed and 4.5 on WOT. I have check the MAP got ~3v key on and <1v during my fk'd up idle. It has a brand new dizzy, spark plugs, and wires. I'm lost here guys someone throw me a bone. Any suggestions are welcome as long as they aren't to stupid. Thanx ~Joe
*one of my buddies mentioned the timing might be off? when i bought the engine the timing belt covers were still on and I didnt mess with nething except changing the dizzy. I wana drive my car so bad its been down for almost 2 months!!
