yes they will work on stock rods, only problem LS rods are rather weak and rods bolts also tend to stretch at high rpm.

I recommend if your going to the extent of tearing down a block just invest in Forged pistons and steel rods from the get go. You will have a much stronger combo and better choices for bore size and compression ratios. It will also allow your to support force induction or nitrous if you decided to make more power down the line.

Couple of links for some choices:

Bisimoto Steel H-beam rods

Yea I had them in my Integra 2.0L GSR built for Outlaw. I used the Bisimoto spec GRP full race aluminum rods and Bisimoto Custom race pistons with coatings. It made 1033whp at 37psi. As well two of my buddies one a street car B20 vtec stock sleeves with Bisimoto standard forged pistons and Bisimoto steel rods with Bisimoto stage 2 camshafts which made 225whp and the other a turbo street car sleeved gsr block with Bisimoto pistons and steel rods with level 2.4 turbo cams

Now its retired and building a new setup for this year in a EG hatch

You have to have the rods machined... and the weakest part of the LS rods is the bolts themselves. Do yourself a favor and have some ARP's installed while you have it apart. All that will work fine for what you are wanting to do. You don't need to spend well over $1k to do what you want. Bisimoto must be hurting for business lately...

Just sharing experiences and options for building motors being that I have gone down both paths of building with factory parts as well aftermarket forged parts. From these experiences I know always begin with the end in mind so I will not have to do things twice.
