motor makin noise ....maybe ROD?
sup guys for all that know me know that i never beat my 1993 4door auto accord.
This is my daily driver & family car...... YEasterday i heard a weird ticking noise...
-It's not the tranny or the valves ticking.
*I think it's my ROD... noise seems to be coming from driver side near the pullys
*and i only hear it mostly during idel (my exhust it already loud while driving)
****car has 164K motor is from Nippion Motors last September. I put about 15k on it so far. FELLOW ACCORD MEMBERS PLEASE HELP ME OUT

well it not ticking like valves or anything..... Its' sorta like a lite knock, but just a little louder than ticking valves... get what i'm saying???

Hmm. I never knew that motors could tick or knock.. It must be just your power window motor.. Get it right dude.. Motors run on electricity. Engines run on gasoline..

How loud is the noise? If it's clicking like a pen, I'd check the plugs. Is there a lack of power? Or poor idle? I've seen plugs come loose a bit and make a clicking noise. I've also seen spark plug wires and direct ignition coil ends come off the spark plug a bit and make a clacking/clicking/ticking noise.
Have you checked your oil level? What is the weight that is in it now? Does it corespond to the type of weather that is in your area still?
Is the noise on start up or does it continue while you drive? Are you sure the noise is coming from the engine (MOTOR)? Have you put a scope to it and really listened? Or is it just in that general area?
Does the car shake at all when it makes this noise? Maybe you could check the motor mounts and see if the are torqued correctly?
Is there any accesory mounts that may be loose causing a noise ?
Can you tell me a little more about the car? Did you have it rebuilt you said? Can you take it in? Still under warranty?
