I have a 00 civic dx has a z6 in it ..did the 3 to 2 wire iacv and the CKF bypass trick and has a rywire dizzy converstion as of now im running a 00 civic si ecu starts but boggs and dies when i give it gas ..... WHAT COULD IT BE ???????? HELLPPPP

 

00 si ecu is for a b16. that ecu is not designed for a single cam. Get a y8 ecu and you'll be right as rain.

 

i know that its for a b16 but shouldnt it still run the car?

 

ur running a b16a2 ecu the P2T why the hell are you running that with the D16Z6 why are you not running the P28 OBDI ECU

you are running a OBD2B ecu on a OBDI engine...

get the right ecu


it starts the car and boggs down doesnt it it runs it but it runs like sh(t cause its the wrong ECU

You definitely have check engine lights, pull them and post them. The Z6 has no knock sensor. How did you wire the secondary O2?

 

throwing the vtec system malfunction since vtec isnt wired yet and used the stock y7 header that has the 2 o2 on the header.....

 

I'm sorry but was the question ever answered as to why a dual cam ECU is trying to run a single cam engine?

 

only ecu i have and the stock 99 dx one

 

More than likely, THAT is your problem. That and the ECU is OBD2B and the engine is OBD1 as was stated.

 

yes, you need an obd2b to obd1 conversion harness and a p28.
also 2 wire IACV conversion, and wire teh vtec if you're using your dx engine harness.
also, what injectors did you use. y7 injectors are 190cc but p28 will want 240cc injectors.
you can use obd2 240cc(y8) or splice the clips for the d16z6 (obd1) injectors.
i put a z6 in my 97(obd2a) dx.

 

tried the stock dx ecu stays on till u give it alot of gas boggs till it turns off... help

 

Are you NOT listening? You need a P28. Get one.
