Default Do I have to take factory alarm out to replace with aftermarket alarm?

Hello I have a question about factory car alarm in my 1997 Honda Del sol. I’m buying an aftermarket alarm to install in my Del sol. Do I have to take the factory car alarm out or leave it in and just hook up the aftermarket car alarm? If I have to take it out and will aftermarket alarm work without factory alarm? Thanks.

If the delsol alarm is integrated into the factory wiring like the EK Civic's, you really cant remove it without major headaches

Are you sure it is a factory alarm?

I know the 96-98 civic had factory (accessory option) alarms integrated into the radio and was prewired.

In your case I would just make sure it is not armed, and then just install your new alarm.

I believe you piggy back off that harness and then it is disabled but I can be way off. Did you google it?

Well its factory alarm so I’m sure it’s integrated into the factory wiring.

Yes I’m sure its factory alarm. My Del Sol radio doesn’t have the alarm integrated into radio. I know what alarm looks like on the ek but I don't see any on my Del Sol. unless ek have alarm built-in in the radio? My factory alarm is under my driver seat.

Yes I did Google everything I could try to find but nothing good information about factory alarm with aftermarket alarm... that's why I am asking here.
