CEL: Multiple Error Codes: 1999 Honda Accord EX Auto
Hi:
First Post; appreciate any suggestions
1999 Honda Accord EX 4Cyl Automatic 175K; original Trans.
No major past issues
Current Situation:
Multiple Codes, as reported by independent repair shop, after pulling fuses looking for a blown fuse ( none found):
Sequence of events over the past two weeks:
*Noticed cruise control would not disengage from the horn "cancel" button (it would disengage from the dashboard switch, or by tapping the
brake pedal)
*Then next day noticed my horn was not working
*Initial research I did pointed to a shorted horn; pulled the high tone horn from the car and tried it out of the car; while not loud it worked
(did not pull the low tone horn as it was not as easy to access)
*Then pulled fuses from the inside fuse panel to check; found no blown fuses
*When I started the car, got the CEL
*Took the car to a local repair shop where I know the Service write-up guy who advised the PCM is bad, the trans is bad, the O2 Sensor is bad,
etc.
(There were no issues w/ the trans prior to this, nor any previous CELs)
I find it hard to believe all these items failed literally overnight and w/ no past history.
From my research on this forum I think the fuse box is bad due to something I did and the bulk of the error codes are false.
Any thoughts?

Since you have all these codes, my guess is you have a short somewhere. Check the blk/yellow wire at the alternator, and the wiring for the air/fuel ratio sensor (a type of wide band oxygen sensor, your primary) and rear oxygen sensor wiring.
Also check the fuses in the under-hood fuse/relay box. You indicated you looked at the inside fuse box.
Did you do something prior to these coming on?

Certainly do appreciate the quick reply; as indicated in the OP, my own actions were:
pulled the high tone horn from the car and tried it out of the car; while not loud it worked
(did not pull the low tone horn as it was not as easy to access)
