need help knowing the correct alternator for a b16a. any suggestions? help relating to this post pls

 

Any B-series will work... what exactly is it you are looking for?

 

some peps say d series or b17...blah blah. i need help findin the b series for my b16a. and i the belt too.

 

like he said b series.. all b series parts are basically interchangeable

 

all b-series alternators are interchangeable. however i do find the B17 listed parts are cheaper at auto parts stores than the ones listed for B18a and B18c. my .02 i buy them for a b17a1.

if you truly want one for a b16 then just buy one from a 93-95 Del Sol Vtec model.

what bout aperture? i have stereo system. will the 94 del sol vtec hold up?

All B-series obd-0 & obd-1 alternators are the same, and are plug and play.
obd-2 alternators require a different plug

Ummmmm. Who/what info are you saying is incorrect? All 90-95 b18a/b alternators use the same plugs. All 92-93 b17a1 alternators have the same plug. All 94-95 b18c1 alternators have the same plugs. And all obd1 b16a3's use thesame alternators.

And all listed alternators have the same ribbed pulley on them.


All amperage ratings are between 70-85 amps. Basing the Mp rating off memory, so numbers may be wrong. But they are interchangeable.

No rewiring required on any 90-95 b series alternator. They are wired up exactly the same. The 96-01 b-series alternates will also work, they just require you to rewire and add in a square plug as opposed to 88-95 alternators that use a bigger round plug.

What are you talking about? The '88-95 alternators have the same plugs...
