Default 98 prelude wont turn battery dies only when ignition turned

hello i have a 98 prelude, wouldnt start so i replaced the battery. after this it still cranked as if the battery was dead, so i put a amp meter on the battery and it read12v when i turn the ignition is goes down to 1v, any suggestions?

I don't have any idea, try charging the battery.. I'm fairly sure most batteries are supposed to be around 14.3-14.6.. I doubt that's doing ****, but give it a try. Also check your ground cable, make sure it's not split/giving off a LOT of resistance, I'm not too great with electrical, but hopefully I help you somewhat.
