Default Price to be paid for a 2000 Black Original GSR

Hello Everyone,

I have a buddy of mine that is selling his 2000 GSR. It is an original gsr with no modifications done to it at all and the interior is immaculate . The GSR rims are not present with the car and the paint needs serious correction. Timing belt was just completed and the car drives like a beauty except the clutch lets out real high. The motor and chasis has only 70k original miles on it. What do you think a fair price to offer him is?

What are 2000 GSRs going for in your area?

Just checked, there is a 97 W/57K in Caldwell, for $6500, priv.
Another one, 97 W/178K for $6995, dealer.
A 98 in Newark W/145K for $6995, dealer.

So it looks like if you can get it for $6000 you would be getting a pretty good deal.

I would not pay more then $5000 for a car that is more then 10 years old, and it would have to be minty. 94

Depending on how much bodywork it needs I would say its worth 3500-5000

It doesn't need body work, and I happen to detail professionally, so that isn't an expense on my part. I offered him 5500, but still don't think the car is worth that in my opinion.

All dpends on the area prices. I paid 6 for my 99 GSR with 90K. I still see them going here in MD/PA for anywhere from 5-6500K for 100K miles or more.

depends on body condition and i always distrust 70k miles on a gsr ads unless it was someones second car that they didn't drive often and carfac supports it. when you see 70k miles and a 21yr old selling it, it's his only car and he's asking top dollar 9 times out of 10 you have a cluster swap
