BANG, the death of my driveshaft..........questions
hey guys,
so i pull out of this road on my way home from work yesterday, and i am greeted by a loud bang. Thinking i broke my driveshaft(and the fact that my car wasnt going to move under its own power) i role to the side of the road. Listen for about 10 seconds, reach into my front, passenger wheel, and VIOLA, my driveshaft is nice a loose with plenty of play.
Well once i got it towed, i jacked it up and see it is seperated where it connects to the hub. I pull back the boot and a pretty ball bearing falls out.
So, anyone have a diagnosis? Im guessing ill have to replace the shaft. aside from the tool to remove the ball joint, do i need anything else?
I have never done this so any info i appreciated!!!
Thanks guys
Mike D

32mm for the nut in the hub... and otherwise just play with it and don't bang anything up too much... it doesn't go together too many different ways, you'll get it
