Default 195/55r15 vs. 195/60r15

I have integra rims on my 1995 civic. The tires are 195/55r15...well I am in need of 2 new tires and I am kinda short on cash right now. I noticed the 195/60r15's are about $30 cheaper a tire. Is there really that big of a difference? Thanks

Chris

the 60s will be all most an inch taller, idk if your lowered or not, but if ur stock i think youd be fine, play with this tire program

Thank you! I am lowered about 2 inches. Ao I guess I need to save up and just get the correct size.

you should also look at getting 195/50r15 they dont have as much of a bubble on the sidewall.

Actually, 195/50/15 is closer to the factory overall diameter. So, it'd be the wiser choice for the car. Although, reducing the sidewall height won't make the sidewalls "bubble" out more, when the treadwidth doesn't change.

I would recommend what toyomatt84 said but if you can't afford the 195/50/15 or this is not the option that you can get then go with the 195/60/15.

I usually get my tires from onlinetires.com. They have a larger selection "off brand" tires than places like discounttiredirect.com. I'd look in to some federals. Great bang for the buck.
