4th gen restore&build. :)
So, Ive owned my 4th gen prelude for 4 years now. A couple in highschool, and a couple poor college years. haha. I've finally got the cash to turn this car into what it should be: a clean FF japanese sports car, rather than an entry level faded college chick car(how it was when i bought it).. So here's my build:
BEFORE:

It was o.k. when i got it..

stock headlights... lame 2 piece that never lines up

never really cared for this prelude emblem.. cursive and cars don't mix..

recent pic of fade.. it got bad despite waxing regularly.. clear was just GONE when i bought the car.

Stuff That Came On Car:
-slightly taller aftermarket spoiler (which I like so F*** your opinion)
-American Racing 15x7’s
-Dual stereo head unit with Polk Audio speakers all around (Sweet!)
Mod List so far:

-Mud flap delete
-front license plate bracket delete (that black plastic was so ugly)
-10” Lightning Audio sub, and a 200w VR amp (Wallyworld special, but sounds nice)
- AutoZone Intake, 4” cone filter
-1 piece headlights w/black housing
-Some cool old school 15x7’s from CL
-AR’s going to studded snow tires
- Painted back to factory red
-5% tint all around
pics coming SOON!

Here are some pics of the painting process...

sanding sanding and more sanding.. as well as some disassembling.

new wheels.

And the finished Product:

no more prelude logo.

My current, and quite boring F22A1...

My next project is going to be either turbo charging the F22, or an H22A1 swap.. depends on cost vs. effectiveness, reliability, etc.

that paint turned out great! And I gotta admit, the spoiler is growing on me...
Definitely needs to be lowered, and at the very least have the stock front lip put on. But what a difference!

Actually the F22 is superior all the way around as far as build quality and durability. The only thing the H has is stock power. The block in the F is much stronger, and the head actually flows better. Plus its got an insane amount of torque for the power(145tq, 135hp VS the h22 160tq 195hp). Honestly if I had like 5 or 6 thousand dollars, Id go with an NA build on the F22. but i don't have that much.. so its either 2 grand for a turbo or 2 grand for an H22.

Love the paint and tint but man... you gotta do something about those rims. They just do not suit the car. Also, i would boost the stock f series. The beauty about the f series is the motors are $100-200 motors at most, so you can blow them up and never lose sleep over it costing you to much money. If i could restart I would have put an f motor in my car and boost. $2k for a kit, next to nothing if you blow it up.
