Recommended tire size
i would like to know from everyone in the RR/AutoX/Time attack forums
what would be the best to run for a DD as well as hitting up some seat time at streets of willow(it should be my first time, but i've been to a much smaller track..)
I have a friend who has a set(90% tread) of Federal RSR's 195/50/15 for me for $200 used. or new $340-380 mount and balanced for 205/50/15's.
Right now i'm currently on Enkei RPF1's 15x7 35+ on my 96 civic hb.
thanks for your time.

Either sounds fine. If the goal is seat time just focus on that at the expense of performance, I run 195/50R15 200 treadwear street tyres on my EF because other maintenance and track day entry fees are a priority at the moment. If you are using them for DD then perhaps look at a longer wearing tyre but with still decent performance, maybe something around the 200 treadwear mark.
Then once you have burned through your first set of tyres you will have a better idea of whether you want to change to a more aggressive compound.

i agree with charger. my daily is on 205/50 falken 615s, due to given purchase time and budget. i have tracked the car and autox'd the car on those tires, as well as put a butt ton of daily driven miles on them. i'm sure a lot of people can say the same in here.
In my opinion, the best 140-200treadwear street tire that'd good for autox, can hold up to the heat on the track, and won't make you die if it hits standing water on the highway, is the Dunlop Direzza Z1 StarSpec. 205/50-15 would be the best size for you.
If you don't care about wet weather traction, I'd go with the 225/45-15 Hankook RS3.
