98 civic d16y7 p28 ecu non-vtec sputtering @ 3500rpm

Icon6 98 civic d16y7 p28 ecu non-vtec sputtering @ 3500rpm

i got a d16y7 with a p28 ecu, that is having a sputtering problem @ 3500rpm, i figure first fuel filter, then ecu, dont have obd1 scanner, do have cel on, any ideas?

jump the connector in the passager kick panel and p28 is a vtec ecu so your going to have codes for vtec solonoind knock sensor and vtec oil pressure switch probably running way rich as the d16z6 has bigger injectors and different fuel maps . why do you have that ecu on a y7 ?

the guy i bought the civic from had the p28 in it, it does run rich, so ecu it is.
