rsx or s2k?
this is a question for or rsx and/or s2000 owners. which car would you buy if they were both the same price in the same condition. considering the s2k is only a 2 seater. did anyone by one and now wish they would have bought the other? i want to know which one to get after my civic
thanks
thanks
yeah, there's a bunch of variables to consider..
personally, i'd go for the rsx.. i like giving my friends/family rides.. even if the back seats seem like an after thought... but whatevs..
i would love to ride/ drive an s2k.. but i don't think i'd like to own one... Now, if it was an NSX.. that'll be a different story..

I would go with the s2k. I already drive a crx so the whole two seat thing is no big deal. If anything, it's good to have two seats, that way you don't have more than one person telling you how to drive.
I just traded my rsx type-s for an s2k. my biggest reason was that the s2k is rear wheel drive. yes there is a lot less room, but im 6' 1" and i fit comfortably. If you do not have another vehicle (like my wife has a jeep commander) and you plan on giving people rides or want to put a lot of groceries or anything of the sort the rsx is the way to go, but be very cautious the 6 speed tranny in the rsx is very prone to problems. If you want a car that is a BLAST to drive than go for the s2k. Also, if you plan on modding the vehicle a s2k is a lot more expensive to modify compared to the rsx, but it is well well worth it. It truley depends on what the car is used for, i DD my s2k everyday, but i dont have to pick up kids or family. If you live in a place where it snows then obviously front wheel drive is better. BUT the s2k is an amazing machine that isn't even comparable to the rsx in my opinion.

Like everyone else has said, you have to look at what you need and go from there. When I bought my S2k, I had 3 other cars to drive and it stayed parked in the garage most days. It was perfect, a nice 2 seater convertible to drive on backroads in the spring and fall. Since then I have sold the other cars and now drive the S2k everyday....and I HATE IT. The interior is small, the windshield is too low (or I am too tall), its noisy, it lacks any type of power under 4k, it gets crap gas mileage, it doesnt hold enough people, etc. It's all about how you plan on using the car, which you did not state.
The RSX will be much like your civic was. The S2000 will be nothing like it. It is a RWD platform, ofwhich you sit towards the back which is a different experience than a FF Coupe.

theyre both good cars, depends on what you need.
rsx if you dont mind people asking for rides
s2k if you hate giving rides/being the driver when you go out with friends.
if you have another car thats not a 2 seater though, get the s2k (:

no disrespect to the s2k but if your looking for tq k24a2 in rsx cost less then stock s2k and is actually faster. i run a whole second faster then the s2k at the track. sure he was stock but like i said i still have less invested. car+swap+a few other things< stock s2k ap2. but the are both really nice so its really just down to which style you like.
They're both good cars. I have an RSX and I love it. I like having the option to have more people with me. The s2k is cool and all, my friend has one and I personally would only like it when I feel like driving by myself and such. They both have their pros & cons, it just depends on your preferences.
