Default Pass door pillar hit.

I have a 95 LS and the Passenger side door pillar where the bottom hinge bolt to the car has apparently ben hit. It's dented in and a crack on the part towards the inside. The door shuts fine but you can tell it's not lined up right. Someone before me drilled some holes in a piece of steel and put it between the hinge and pillar.

I'll get pics up later, I'm at work now. But i was wondering how bad it would be to have a shop fix it, and maybe a possible price range? I don't care if it's perfect, as long as the door gets lines back up and its strong enough.

Thanks for the feedback.

And no I'm not getting rid of the car and blah blah.

It is repairable, cost will depend on the shop you take it to and how much "damage" there is, there is no way anyone here is going to be able to know how much damage there is just by looking at pix.

I would remove everything in the area of the damage, [anything a body shop would have to remove to make repairs and paint] and take it around to your local body shop, tell them what you want, "I don't care if it's perfect, as long as the door gets lines back up and its strong enough" and get quotes. 94

Yea, I took it to one shop, and he said he would have to cut out the pillar, or most of it and replace it, he said the underside of it was buckled a lil, I still haven't looked at it much to really see, I'm always working right now.

I'll have to take it to a couple other shops around here.

Post up some pics. How bad is the misalignment? On a car that old, it might not be worth paying a body shop to repair it.

Different shops will charge different amounts for the work that might be needed...so we can't really give you an estimate, considering we won't be the ones fixing it.

My advice would be to take advantage of the weekends and go to different places to get estimates and take it from there. And remember... Don't always pick the cheaper place...

Good luck to ya
