ok so heres the situation. i have a 98 coube with a b16a2 swapped in it on a p72 ecu and i have an 02 sensor code. When im giving the car throttle my tach jumps around like silly.This happens whether its in gear or in neutral. I dont feel it affecting the car all the time only when im in higher rpms and the car will hesitate a little and fall off. i have a vid i will try to attatch. any help is appreciated.

The tach signal comes from the igniter unit inside the distributor. It may be bad so have it tested.

 

i replaced it a few months back.

 

Test the blue tach wire running between the igniter unit and tach. Are all wires inside the distributor clean and tight?

 

wires are good and tight but i will certainly check again. thanks for the help.

 

any other advice? blue wire checks out good.
