Wanna rebuild my B16a,Dont know what to do with bottom end?
So yeah I really dont know where to start? I'm going for a budget build as much as possible,I tryin to make 225-275 N/A WITH iTB'S.I got the top end parts pretty much everything but head bolts set. This is my first build on my own and dont know if an LS or Crv block would help me achieve these numbers? Also would I need to sleeve the block and would 12:1 compression be a good start?Any input would be helpful(besides negitive lol)because I need help,all my friends are into oldskool yotas.They dont know what da heck i'm talkin bout. OP, I would definitely try to get a higher displacement block like you mentioned. Search for some other CRVTEC/LSVTEC builds here and learn from the many that have come before you (me not being one of them).

The cheapest most reliable way to make 225hp would be great ,with 3k being my budget foe the bottom end,thank you for any input.

To do 200+ on a b16 will be costly. I would be looking into a GSR or a LS block.

Thanks bro,I bought us our hatch last year and she got hooked driving around the car with a stock B16a more than I did so it turned into her car.I'm trying to trade the cams for some stage 2 cams or something not so radical.But I did get them brand new still in package and complete head set for $1300 with slightly used itb's so I scored.The owners before had the car boosted so the rings were kinda bad so we thought we drive it till the block or the rings go and start building a motor for now cause still has plenty compression but starting to smoke going down hills.Better to start building now before they do go.As much as she is a keeper she kills cluthes like there cheap.LOL
With the power your looking for, id deffenitley look into a B20/vtec build and get away from that 1.6.

you do realize how much of pita its going to be to run vtec killers AND ITBs on the street right?
besides that. get a b20 put some new rods on it probably pistons too for that upped compression then let er rip.

i'm having a hard time finding someone in hawaii that even has a another set of toda cams.But I did come across a person that want to trade for some skunk2 cams n cash but I really dont know how everthing well work out with the toda head set?thank you for all da input.
