intermit no start
PLEASE A LITTLE HELP? I just was given a 1990 civic lx 2dr 1.5. when it runs, it runs new there is 43,000
original miles on it. one owner (my Neighbor) had it since new, according to him for about a month it would start or no start. it will crank strong has spark and will run if i pour fuel in. I removed rear seat and put test light on inner red/white wire it will stay lit when it runs but will not light on either wire outer red/white or inner. the relay does click BUT i did not remove it as its the one up above the hood latch. if I have to I will take it out. am I looking at changing the relay or should I look somewhere else? NO check engine light on when running. I also checked grounds on vehicle including thermostat ground. when i put my finger on it i do feel a click. Please any help would be appreciated. thanks.

i would change the main relay. this is not a ep3 or a dc5 and this post does not belong in this section. if should be in the ef section. you obviously are not getting fuel. maybe running a power wire to you fuel pump direct. when you turn the key do you HEAR the fuel pump prime? Yes you should replace the main relay they seem to be a big problem in that model or re-soder it. there are many write ups on re-sodering the main relay. feeling the click means nothing. you don't have a ground problem if your getting spark and the engine is cranking over.
