EG Civic front suspension/brakes re-build questions
Hi, new member but I've used a few DIY's from here before, I have a 93 Civic hatchback I bought as a rolling chassis from a friend who bought it from another guy, but never got around to it, about a year ago, got it road-worthy and drove it, but now I'm tearing everything apart to get it ready for upgrades/modifactions for road-racing
Long story short, after tearing apart the front end the car came with (not sure if its a SI, EX, DX, etc - title just lists '1993 H Civic 3-door') I discovered the previous owner before my friend mis-matched the whole front end (mixed knuckels, hubs, etc) but managed to get the hub-splines similar, so me and my friend never really noticed it when doing the B-series swap (LSVTEC)
I bought was was sold to me as a spare 'EG SI suspension' from a friend, and the rear-disc swap went on without too much trouble, but after some bearing trouble I discovered I actually have 91 front civic knuckles (again, EX-DX I'm not sure), and now I'm wondering if the rear trailing arms are 91 model parts, and if instead of needing 92-95 pads/calipers/rotors at all 4 corners, I'll need 91 pads/calipers/rotors, or if there isn't a large difference between the two and I can use-modify the 91 kunckles to work on my 93 hatchback or what the issues with doing so are or could lead to.
Some extra info if it helps: I'll be using Skunk2 sport shocks w/springs at all 4 corners, already have new lower balljoints pressed-in the 91 knuckles and am waiting on bearings, will be using Buddyclub P1 front camber kits (track-duty, not street bling), and what looks to be some after-market front shock forks that were purple but I re-painted (hoping to re-use these since the rest of my budget is going to cage/paint etc)
I can get pics and any extra info if needed, the chassis is currently at my uncle's on jack-stands with no suspension, recieving bodywork and some other stuff, looking to get it rolling again soon to get it painted before fall/colder temps hit.
