New EG guy
Hey,
I have been on the boards here for a little while. I have had a 7th gen K20A2 civic, and most recently a 2000 GSR.
I rolled my GSR recently (fell asleep behind the wheel) and looking for a new project. Im thinking EG Hatch.
I am pretty sure that with the donor car (my 2000 GSR) I have everything that I need to swap that motor over to an EG Hatch (correct me if I am wrong). What about suspension? Should I get suspension fitted for an integra? Or does it really matter? Normally I would think that I would just use suspension made for the civic, but I want to transfer over my GSR brakes, etc. as well.
Plans are to make it handle really well, then maybe a JRSC for legal fun.
Any info would be appreciated. Thanks guys and gals

u have a lot of searching to do but the simple answer is yes u can use just about everything from your teg. tegs are basically civics with different sheet metal, everything is compatible
u can get suspension from either car

Sweet, thanks for the info.
Yea I have been reading all this morning about things. Im getting excited about this project. I should get close to 12K for my integra...buy a civic for like 3, that leaves 9. The swap should be basically free except for exhaust and a few other odds and ends. So its mainly going to go into suspension, basica bolt ons for the motor, exterior, and interior mods.

I have plans of putting a JRSC on later (damn cali laws!), but I am a very strong believer in mastering a car, getting to know it, pushing its limits, and being able to control the car at its limits before adding power. Its just how I have always done it, and its proven to work very well for me.

The GSR tranny that I have already has LSD, and if I were to change the gearing I would rather go aftermarket.
I have never had a problem with cops with the legal stuff that I used. I am very polite to cops, and they dont seem to harass me at all. I should updated my profile, I am actually living in Sacramento now.
