Default Thinking about Buying an 3rd gen Prelude

title say it all. i recently got rear end and my accord is a total lost.

i am not interested in the 3rd gen Prelude typically the 90-91 models.

Yeah you need to stop browsing here and move to www.p r e l u d e p o w e r.com(no spaces) because that is where you will be able to find pictures and aftermarket support for this chassis, as well as all the information you will ever need.

b20a5 or b21a1.....
For reliability and potential motor build for NA or boost or just plain daily driving, you should go with the B20a5 or B20a motor.

The B21a1/A was the test platform for FRM sleeves that now reside in the H motors.

They made the piston ring lands better for the H motors, but they stopped making anything to improve on the B21a1.

So you can purchase a 90-91 model, but I recommend purchasing a JDM B20a to replace that motor either now or prior to the B21a1 burning oil and smoking on you.

Its pretty much a straight swap, but you will need to transfer some things over in order to make it run right.

All this information is on the pp.com site I listed above.

Oh one more thing, I revived the H22/23 swap for this chassis so you have the opportunity to swap to the H22/23 should you want more power and aftermarket potential.
