Post your painted, stickered, modded, custom gas door or gas door filler. Anyone rolling with theirs removed?

 

why would people remove it??? i saw some people doing this locally i just didnt know why?

 

ive seen a couple painted on the inside with the lid removed. a couple air brushed and what not.

 

In some weird way, I kinda wish they made something similar to this for Honda's.

right, because a custom painted gas filler with the door closed is so horrible on your precious eyes.

 

Hahaha! On another note let's see what out there, is this the next trend to hella flush? Well... My civic has normal offset so I guess I'll skip this one too, but still the example above is kinda different.

 

Man, I totally bit off of WhiteSlipsWithStickers' car, but I put a pinstripe through mine.

 

Alot of ricers in SoCal steal the sticker at the gas station pump. Just because our best pump fuel is 91 and slap it on their gas lid

 

This was an awfull trend back in the 90's among the ricers here.
Every car with an unpainted bodykit and stock wheels had an expensive airbrush on the gas lid, made me wonder why they spent money on a gas lid and leave the rest of their car unpainted...

But on the inside it's ok I guess, never seen anyone doing it though.

 

i think they have a Mugen one like this for Honda's, not 100% sure tho.

 

 

I too remember the airbrushed gas doors in the late 90s, doesnt it seem like early 2000s the import scene got away from the ricey stuff and went into functional clean performance cars, now it seems like it is seeping back in but mixed with jdm parts and performance mods. Ive been watching and its slowly getting worse, i mean if you posted a sticker covered gas door in 2005 with lime green rotas and a purple paintjob you woulda got flamed right off the board.

 

I wasnt takling about the outside lol, i went to a hot rod show and a bunch of cars had super detailed and painted fuel door areas some air brushed and what not. figured that trend might of leaped over to hondas by now.

I remember seeing a few cars where the fuel door was hidden behind a tail light (not stock design). Always liked the idea, but very rarely saw it pulled off so it didn't look ghetto.
