okay so my prelude was running just fine. I cranked it up and headed down the road. All of a sudden when im pushing the gas i lost all power, my lights stayed on, my radio stayed on but it just wouldnt accerlate and acted like it wanted to stall out. so i left off the gas and pushed back on it and same thing, no power, acted like it was stalling on so finally it did. I noticed when this was happening my check battery light was coming on. When i go to crank it back up it wont crank. it tries but wont turn over. Checked battery its fine. I am lost as to what this could be. Could it be the timing belt? dizzy? what could it be?
i checked the spark plugs, dizzy, wires, etc, im thinking its the timing, other opinions?

thats what my dad is saying, the timing belt gets slack then if you try and crank it it will tighten back up, then be loose again, we are checking that today
Had this happen many times... Honda's are very notorious for the green plug on your alternator getting REALLY corroded. Pull out that plug and either get a new one or clean it really good with baking soda and water.
What voltage does your battery read? Just cause your have 12.3-12.6 volts doesn't mean your battery isn't bad. You gotta load test it.
