Hey guys, I just bought this beauty for $350.

86 Si, runs and drives good but when I was messing around with it the other day I noticed something strange.

Have a look at the pic and tell me what this is...I do not know jack about suspension parts

This is what it looks like on both sides.


Is this a problem? Lol


Here are some pictures of what it looks like at this point.
Got a new header panel ordered and looking at some wheels too.

 

Not sure which bar. I see an LCA, a CV axle, and what looks to be the end of a sway bar with no end link bushings? Maybe thats what youre referring to

Looks like a front sway bar. Is there a hole in your LCA (the arm that your label is covering) that might look like something bolts there?

If so, you need an endlink bushing on both ends of the sway bar before you bolt it on.

 

i hate those cars that why i upgraded to a 91

 

Can you get a pic of the end of the bent bar?
It disappears behind the lower control arm and makes it very hard to tell what it might be.

 

Could also be a traction rod?

Not sure whatelse could be missing from your suspension setup.

 

Ding ding ding, we have a winner :D The hole was covered with sludge and I couldnt find until I scraped some of it off lol.

Bushing and bolts is all I need to fix that then?

i'm impressed nobody jumped in to say he's in the wrong forum lol.
i would have guessed tie rod end, but i don't know 1st gen CRX's too well.
