Possible Swap? Need Advice
So my mom has an 2001 MDX with just over 300k Miles. She's getting a new Volvo XC60 in about a month and a half and I will be getting the MDX for a short period of time. I already have a car, 98 M3 but I previously had a 91 accord that I was going to F22 swap.
Anyway. I'm going to pull the motor. The trans is shot but the motor is as tight as a button. It's never had a hard day in its life.
My goal is to try and get a roller 86-89 accord and swap that motor with a TL Type S 6 speed into it.
I have a ton of questions.
Through researching I've found that the legend and the accord are very similar. Would the motor mounts from a V6 legend work? Or would I need to make my own?
Could I just use the old wiring harness from the MDX or would I need a custom one? I would like to do a really clean transfer and keep everything, MDX gauges, trip computer, and AC maybe.
Will I need the PS pump from the MDX or would it be easier to just ditch PS all together?
Are there any other transmissions that will work with the MDX motor? That might be cheaper?
I really want to try and keep this swap cheap but I will spend the money to make it work properly.
I don't care if you think it's impossible I'm going to try it. I have a free motor and I'm not letting it go to waste. Hopefully this is a nice forums, unlike BF.c. They're all jerks.
Thanks for your input.

Re: Possible Swap? Need Advice
Well I don't think wiring will be to difficult. I just need to label everything I pull from the MDX and get a wiring diagram for the accord.
My biggest concern now is tricking the MDX ECU or DME or whatever it has so I can run a manual gearbox.
I might just sell the motor and get a JDM H22 or similar. We'll see.

If you manage to put the MDX engine in that accord, you would be a god to the 3geez community but its just too complicated. You would need custom mounts, axles, shift linkages, wiring plus some other stuff. The same thing with the H22 (although some people have done it). If I were you I would sell it, get innovative mounts for B-series swap and turbo it. This is by far easier than the MDX swap
