turbo ls or ls/vtec ?
All i know is that when i had my 95 Eclipse (130hp stock... with a / I/E and a Zex kit, 75 shot= roughly 215hp,) that my bestfriend in team Mospeed here in Washington, he has a Ls/vtec in his 94 as well, and i will tell ya he has nothing done but the ls/vtec and a vafc, and my car baaaaaaarely pulled on him and thats on the bottle!!!! He had no exhaust, wires, ignition, cam upgrade, nothing!!! Car was ****** loud, racey sounding for stock for sure, i suggest it, but turbo's are more fun, i am buyin his car in feb. and i'm puttin a T-28 on it most likely..... but you know how the wish list goes!!! LMAO
Go turbo, you will be very pleased with the results. You will get more intelligent responses in the Forced Induction forum.
If you go to the Hybrid section you'll probably get the same, only in the other direction.
It's all in perspective. Mine is that with an LS block, unless you have some Vtec parts already, turbo charge that thing.

I say post in both and try to get the best arguments for each side. Then decide for yourself. One good thing about N/A is that when you beat a V-8 they cant just whine about you having a turbo and only winning because of that.

The LS/VTEC is no joke for real.....My friend had on in his DA. He had a LS bottom end with brand new internals and a Type R head with all the valvetrain titanium. He ate Turbo Supra's, M3's like nothing. He also had a ZEX 75 shot in it. Believe me it was a rush!!!
P.S. He also had a LS tranny!

Go turbo, better results with less money. If you want to make a drag car, personally, for an auto-x car, i would go ls/vtec.
i happen to like the lsvtec idea granted turbos are a great to make power but when you completely rape v8's when your all motor thats something to say. it says ive spent a lot of time and hard work on kicking your *** i didn't just strap a hamster wheel onto header. anyhow either way you go is fine but personaly i like the all motor
Theres a local guy i know that has a turbo ls/vtec setup in an EG hatch. He runs 12's in the 1/4 on street tires spinning through 3rd, so if you have enough time and money maybe you should try both..........it seems to be worth it.
aot of these guys that are saying Turbo are not speaking from experince. i ur gnna go turbo trhen do it right. to me ls/vtec would be a route to go. mre reliable, and less maintence. a turbo is a never ending responsiblity. i know car tuning in genreal is a never ending responsibilty, but turbo is mor of one and more hassel.
the ls/vtec is cheaper as well. thats if urgoing with a drag greddy, revhard ect.
i hvaent had ls/vtec yet, but have bossted for 2 years, and im never gonna boost again.

Going with Drag lll 'Teg, for a daily driver i would go n/a. If you go turbo, just remember that if it isnt done right, and messes up, then there's gonna be a whole lot more to fix than if you have an all motor application.

I cannot preach this enough. Unless you like rebuilding motors go Turbo. LS/VTEC is a good race setup but terrible daily driven. Also turbos@12psi on stock internals with Hondata is much faster in a Teg.

They run like a bat out of hell, but they are very unreealible.
Rob -Who knows a million LS/VTEC owners are going to start preaching to him how reliable they are but doesnt care because he knows from first hand experience with numerous people's cars-

The sound of a Blowoff valve is convincing enough.
