WHERE TO START building my Civic Si?
Got my first civic its pretty much going to be a long build for me since I'm learning from nothing ha!
Suggestion on where to start? I was thinking of internals on the engine since it has 178K but that body panel bothers me and has rust.. (the only body spot from what I can tell that has rust btw) and yes I think those are desol rims and not si.

Yea been through there a ton but just want to hear others opinion. I understand best thing to do is set a goal and get it done just setting the starting point is my problem.
as soon as you get a car first thing to do is brakes and oil change my first thing i did on my civic was all the maintenace then i lowered it 2 inchs in the front and 1.9 and the rear next for me is my exhaust then alarm then swap
Those are Delsol Si wheels. Do what Virgin said. Don't start internals yest since you know nothing. Let that motor go till she gives up. Work on exterior first. Suspension, rust, paint, wheels, etc..

Holy smokes is this a real tech question? There's a whole forum dedicated to appearance with various builds done over the years. Why do you need someone to tell you how to spend your money when you have such a resource at your disposal?

What would you like out of the car? Daily, auto-x, drag?
I don't see why i can't ask and its not like I'm going to do what they say. Its about hearing what others think dude. take a chill piil
I do agree with most of the sentiment here...
Start with basic maintenance then get fancy.
I've got a 99 bone stock EM1 that I'm beginning some work on as well, personally I started with on brake => water pump / belts / valve adjustments / plugs-n-wires...
A good tune up will go a long way to prolonging the life of any build.
That gives you plenty of time to find the missing trim and clean up that body/interior.

I agree with everyone, tune up/basic maintenance always comes first before anything else. After you have take care of that, build based on your goals (DD, track, show...)
