Yeah I have a question about the 255lph and the 255lph High pressure fuel pump. I guess, I am a bit confused on what I really need for my application.

This application will be to replace the stock fuel pump on my 2000 Civic EX and to replace an Aeromotive inline fuel pump and a Vortech 12:1 FMU, which I am currently using for my turbo kit. I want to run 450cc DSM injectors and a Warlbro 255lph for the VAFC hack you may or may not have heard about on this site.

I am just confused on which one I will need. Thanks

Really the only difference between the 255 and 255Hp is that the HP will not lose as much flow at higher pressures. The HP would be good if you are using some form of boost-dependent regulation (FMU) in which you will be radically increasing the fuel pressure. If you look at flow between the 2 pumps at 40-50 PSI, they are virtually identical. Above that, the 255HP extends good flow out for a little bit longer.

Randyman and kenbdSi, we are not doing this as a GB. The pumps will be on special for the month of October. No minimums to get started and pumps are available for immediate shipment.

EG6owner and baonest, the 190 pump is good for a maximum of around 300ish HP N/A a little less if FI since the higher BSFC.... so if that's where you are going then it would be fine.

The 255 pump should be fine for now and future. Sometimes there can be an issue with trying to pull the FP down at idle. The stock regulator orifice is at times too small to allow enough fuel return to the tank. Other regulators such as AEM and others don't seem to have a problem.

I have a couple of questions to ask. When you were saying that the stock FPR has problems sometimes with bringing down the fuel pressure at idle, do you mean the 255 high pressure pump or all the pump including the 255 regular pump?

Also, I went to your web site to look at the pumps and I wanted to know what the numbers in parenthesis under the part number stand for, are those the install kit part numbers?

And last do you have the regular 255 pumps for a 93' vtec prelude and a 89' CRX Si (b16a so far) instock and are they the same part numbers? Thanks.

That should be fine for you. The pump & install kit follows the chassis not the engine per se. The pump size is first determined and we get you the correct pump and kit to fit the chassis.
