Anyone here have experience in doing this? Just wondering if it would be a cost/time friendly thing to do seeing as just about any civic key will open the lock and turn the ignition.

No harder than anything else anyway..

Question is, is it worth having your money pit open for anyone to take?

 

Ignition lock is easy. It's a pin and a latch you have to deal with to pull the cylinder out. Doors are an hour each maybe. It's an afternoon project at worse. If something doesn't go well, you can put your old handle back on and just grab the rod for the lock and lock it from the inside and someone can't open it from the outside.
